Time to Spare
Karen was rather withdrawn, lacking in self esteem but bravely, she embarked upon a City & Guilds course which was the start of a new Karen. In the last three years Karen has seen her confidence grow along with her new found skills. Her motivation is spurred on by watching her own progress levels soar. She has also encouraged her husband to undertake some study and is always willing to help her colleagues in class with their work. Last year Karen won an award at the College’s Celebration of Achievement event and she continues to succeed. She has so far covered 14 modules within the 7262 C&G series, Levels 1 to 3 in Word Processing, Excel and Access publisher as well as presentation graphics and web design. She is now doing her Teacher Training Stage 1 as well as the HND in Computing.
She has also been approached by Mansfield Community Radio to help them update their web page and administration work. Where do you find the time Karen!
The Key award was presented to Karen Seymour by Tony Eggington, Mayor of Mansfield who is the Overall Winner for Mansfield on behalf of West Nottinghamshire College
