A new, free publication from NIACE (the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) funded by the Local Government Association is available to download from the NIACE website.
Adding Value aims to explore the role of adult learning in the development of extended services and to show how it can support the other services that schools are developing with their communities. It is aimed, firstly, at managers and co-ordinators supporting the development of extended services. Managers and co-ordinators in adult learning and family learning services who wish to work in partnership with schools will also find the publication useful, as will local authority officers supporting the development of extended services in the community.
Adding Value includes a number of in-depth case studies. Please visit: www.niace.org.uk/research/family or http://www.niace.org.uk/research/family/Adding-Value.pdf for the Pdf. Contact Rachel Spacey for further information: rachel.spacey@niace.org.uk
