June 08 As of the 25th June 2008 HMP Hewell will be created by the merger of HMPs Blakenhurst, Brockhill, and Hewell Grange. The prison will have capacity to hold 1,428 prisoners (the sum of the three merged prisons) and will perform the same functions as HMP Blakenhurst, Brockhill and Hewell Grange.
